Points positifs : Belle expérience de pouvoir dormir dans un château médiéval. Grande chambre tres confortable avec mobilier ancien et très belle decoration . Accueil tres chaleureusement du châtelain . Il nous a transmis l'histoire de son domaine ainsi que ses projets futurs . Petit déjeuner très varié et copieux . Nous avons passé un moment inoubliable, dans un cadre hors du temps . Un plaisir à renouveler dès que possible.

Séjour magique au château de Champagne Mouton

Points positifs : Nous avons aimé l'accueil chaleureux de M. Mignon. Il nous a raconté l'histoire du château et nous l'a fait visité. D'autres chambres d'hôtes sont prévues et toujours chacune avec sa personnalité. Petit déjeuner dans une cuisine chaleureuse. M. Mignon a d'autres projets pour améliorer l'extérieur du château : en cassant un mur nous avons pu bénéficier d'une vue magnifique sur le lavoir et ses environs. Nous reviendrons dans quelques années avec joie pour découvrir les changements du château. Champagne Mouton bien situé entre Ruffec et Confolens.

Wonderful stay with a kind and friendly owner and in a beautiful setting

Points positifs : Everything, from the flexibility in arrival to the cleanliness and the well taken care of place. The attention and friendliness of the owner and the beautiful setting. Worth repeating a stay!

A place for people who love history and who appreciate a warm and individual welcome.

Points positifs : I was offered a drink in the garden on arrival. I liked the austerity of the building and the period decoration of the interior. The setup had not been modernised in a style which would negate the history held between these walls. The owner kindly offered me a much needed supper and we talked of local history and current times, and of film. I enjoyed breakfasting with the other guests at one big table in the hall and the breakfast itself was delicious.

Points négatifs : If possible, without spoiling the door of the Renaissance room, it would be good to fix a lock for women travelling alone.

Points positifs : It's a very charming restored castle. We stayed in a beautiful room with a very comfortable bed. The host is extremely friendly, and the French breakfast is super tasty. It's also a dog-friendly hotel.

A highlight of our Spring trip through France: amazing, eccentric, inspiring.

Points positifs : We loved the castle itself, filled with fabulous antiques and eccentric objets d’art. But it was the conversations with the delightful owner Fabrice that made our stay truly exceptional.

Points négatifs : There is nothing not to like about this property. The WiFi didn’t work, but who needs internet when you can discuss history, art and much more with someone like Fabrice.

Super locatie met een super vriendelijke host.

Points positifs : Het gebouw was geweldig! De sfeer en de inrichting was super. De kasteelheer was erg vriendelijk en vertelde graag over zijn kasteel. We hebben erg lekker geslapen. Ontbijt was eenvoudig maar goed. Met eigen gemaakte jam.

Points positifs : Fabrice showed us all around the castle and gave us a lot of history details. We enjoyed his company very much. Breakfast included homemade jams, delicious!
